I'd forgotten how dodgy it looks but here it is at 1:20 in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7DVUfch4HI
I only did it that time because I was quite drunk
and I was so squashed at the front and the stage was at shin height so I was almost laying on the stage for most of the gig.
I just rememebered during the Akron show at one point Hiro went over to one side of the stage and was taking swigs of everyone's beer
Ahahahahaha, oh man that is just so awesome!!! And Fumi drinking too during that song?! I bet she loved that rofl. Thanks for the link; I am now going to watch all of the videos from that night.
Heeeeeey, the next time they'll come to the US, I'll (prob) be legal!! I will so buy them beer, I will!!!
Alright, alright! I've got my write up for the Washington, DC show posted and submitted for your approval!
Dig it cats.... ----> http://bit.ly/9D88dp
Nice report dude. I've done my DC one but I won't post the link yet because yours is better
You can find it if you want to.

I just read it Mark! (My post links to your blog.)
Your write-up is excellent and is a more personal account than mine. Your poly-love really comes through! I liked the Akron post you wrote as well.....
Oh man, I loved both of you guys' reports!!! I totally wish I was there, but I'll catch 'em next time! I can't wait, I can't wait~
It's so great to hear that so many people came to see them that night (the Japanese fans too, really neat) and how happy everyone was. It must have been a mini-Budokan!!
And the stuff about them going to the White House and trying to see Obama is really funny to me. "But he was not home." Oh this band, I love you guys.
In other news, I should be getting my five Polysics CDs tomorrow, so I will pop in Absolute ASAP and have a six hour date with Polysics. Yeees~
awesome writeups you guys! Mark you lucky fella ![]()
Here's a Japanese blog from the Chicago show with a few interesting photos of some equipment

Ooo I could see my ear on one of those pictures!
I was so surprised that the band was so approachable and nice
Kayo was the sweetest! Unfortunately she didn't have any "Mitsuami Heroine" CDs on her ![]()
Oh wow, I'm assuming that person had journalist credentials judging from the all-access they gave him. Look at all the close-ups of that equipment, wouldn't anyone love to play with that?!? And dig that little DEVO sticker near that input!
The pic of the merch table demonstrates the downside of seeing a tour on the tail-end. They were pretty much cleaned out of stuff by the time they got to DC! I unfortunately left with more money in my pocket than I hoped. (how often do you say that?) That's good for them though, because merch is money that goes right to the band usually, and it appears they did well.
I have digital files for most of my POLYSICS collection, so I bought a couple of actual physical cds even though I don't actually use them much anymore. (Now Is The Time & We Ate The Machine) They had Absolute Polysics, but it was all gone by the time I got there. It is nice to actually hold something tangible besides an iPod. They gave away free stickers if you bought cds.
Man, I wish there was a domestic online POLYSICS shop for westerners, because I'd totally get more stuff. I'd love to have a POLYSICS towel to go with my Shonen Knife towel.... (what is it with Japanese artists and towels anyway?
)
I did get autographs though, and that was a bargain at any price!

Maaaaaaan I wish I could have gotten in on that!! I only have a few stickers left myself. During the last tour, they gave away posters when you bought their CDs.
All of these pictures are making me so happy. I can't wait 'till they upload pictures to their myspace, which I'm pretty sure they'll do.
At some point in the near future I will post pics and a brief overall description of the 4 Polysics shows I attended. I've been far too lazy lately.
I do have to admit, to my shame, that I did see Mark at the Akron show but was too much of a chicken to say hello. I wish I would have. Sorry dude.

Evidently for wiping away bye bye Kayo tears ![]()
Tommy! I was hoping all night for someone to come up to me and say "marktobias? Coelakanth?" but it never came. Someone knew me from lastfm but that's not quite the same thing, haha.

If we're ever at the same Polysics concert, I'll be sure to bother you!
Also, seconding the domestic Polyshop. But then again, I'd be even more broke. Even though I should be getting all those CDs in a couple days, I'm once again looking at some things on ebay: BESTOISU and Lo-bits. I think I'll at least get BESTOISU. Maybe, rofl. Hopefully!

You are on to something there, a friend of mine went to Japan in high school and near her host family's house was a museum dedicated to towels (which she, inexplicably, visited 3 times).
Towel museum? Was it near the tattoo museum? XDDD (I joke, lol)
If I could, I would have all Polytowels and use them all the time. But since I can't, I'll just have to settle with my orange towels.
Annnnnd a question!
Do you guys know what song is playing when Fumi pretends to kick Hiro, as seen here?
It's been bugging me ever since I saw those pictures midlast year on their myspace where she does that. It's so cool o 3o
I can't remember......... it's one of the new ones
That doesn't help much, sorry.

Hmmmm..... now I'm really curious!! Could it be Fire Bison? Or Bero Bero? Or even Hypnotize GO?
Last edited by west_haven (2010-03-08 18:32:07)
It's not Fire Bison because there is no guitar in that song ![]()
I remember seeing that near the beginning of the set, so Bero Bero is a good bet.
Right right, Hiro plays keyboards in that song! So that's out......
Let's see, first new songs would beeee..... Young OH! OH!, Beat Flash, E.L.T.C.C.T. and Bero Bero. I would have loved to see E.L.T.C.C.T. live ; ^; (I haven't downloaded that one concert audio yet.... maybe I should do that)
edit: Doing! lol @ everyone singing in the beginning
edit2: "So today is Valentine's Day.... are you going to get naked tonight? I'm wearing special underwear. Do you want to see? DO YOU? DO YOU??!! ....... okay maybe later."
I think I love Hiro even more now. I will be dying FOREVER at this XDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Another audio interview popped up! It's for the date 3/8 and the actual interview starts at 7 minutes in.
Mostly it's the usual questions but as always, I enjoy hearing everyone's voices. Hiro says that he wanted Young OH! OH! to be an exciting and energetic song, and I think he hit it right on the mark!
The end of the interview (at about 11 minutes in) was funny too, with everyone saying bye. Was that Yano who yelled? XDD "BYYYYEEE!!!!!!"
(Also, rofl the DJ makes me laugh.)
