Topic: Last.fm passwords hacked

Following on from yesterday's news of the LinkedIn password hack, it seems that last.fm have had their database compromised too.

I know quite a few here are on last.fm so please change your password there as soon as possible. And if you use the same username/password combination on other sites then change the password on those too - to something unique in each case where at all possible.

Hackers will often try username and password combos stolen from a low-value site against higher value targets e.g. paypal, ebay, online banking, etc. and this can lead to financial losses, identity theft, or worse - someone logging into your last.fm account and scrobbling One Direction!

Re: Last.fm passwords hacked

Thanks for the heads up, man! I haven't used the site in ages, since my main computer is down, but I changed my password anyway.
