Ooh, you mysterious person you!
I hope they play the Midlands if they're coming back later in the year.
i sort of hope they at least do some gigs more north of the midlands at times. not that i could go but it seems Scotland/north england is always left out
C'mon, Polysics! Come to Kentucky/Indiana/Cincinatti!
I'm rather excited ![]()
So who is going to the London show? Let's have a quick roll-call.
My outfit SHOULD arrive in time. It was meant to be here yesterday so I'd say it's a safe bet for Tuesday. I'll be the guy in the orange jumpsuit (not on stage) then I guess...... I'm sure I'll look like an idiot but at least I didn't make the bloody thing, haha ![]()

me me me!! i will be the one in normal clothes.
um, does anyone here know how easy it is to get from where the spitz is to new cross?
Lloyd, looking on a London Underground journey planner it's about a 20 minute tube journey to New Cross with only one change. There are two stations near The Spitz so you should have no problems.
Use this - http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/user/X … nsActive=1
I only have to get to Kings Cross because there's trains back to Peterborough until 1.30am , pretty lucky there.

ah sweet thanks very much! you just added me on myspace but i didnt know who you were, well, see you tonight maybe!!!
A bit miffed that my outfit didn't arrive in time. The package would have also contained my friend's old digital camera she was giving me. Ah well, less stuff to carry round London for the day. Off to London I go!

Don't keep us in suspense, we want your reviews, set lists etc.
Post away!
I'll mostly leave that to Lloyd ![]()
I will say that my shins are bruised to shit. The stage was at shin height and I spent the whole gig at the front. I sort of turned into security holding back the crowd with 2 other guys.
I chatted quite a bit to the merch woman Miki, she was cool. I touched Hiro's mouth, arm and arse and scared him by talking to him too much after the gig I think.
It was bloody fun. Nice to meet Lloyd too.

It was OK last night. Although I don't think the band sounded very good at all. Hiro's Guitar was too low, and I couldn't hear most of his vocals. Kayo, as ever, was also being drowned out by the rhythm section. So it was pretty much a Polysics Drum'n'Bass gig. The band also seemed really tired and kind of blasted through the set pretty quickly. Highlights of night were hearing Shizuka Is A Machine Doctor and Jinsei No Hai (Track 8 on the latest album) live for the first time.
I was pissed off with the crowd. Instead of the usual jumping-around-semi-moshing that usually happens, this time everyone just got crushed up against the front meaning there was little room for letting go. Fortunately there was a guy (maybe he comes on here) dressed in black, that sort of shielded me and my sister away from the worst of it.
The one thing I did find enjoyable about the show was the setlist the band played. They didn't add too many new songs (just 2 in fact, 3 if you count the intro) but the order was surprising. Here's what remember of it. The start and finish are probably accurate, the middle I can't remember too well
P!
Life In Yellow
New Wave Jacket
Peach Pie On The Beach
Ah Yeah!
Jinsei No Hai
Wachuwanadoo
Musunde Hiraite
Psycho Psycho San
I My Me Mine
My Sharona
Kaja Kaja Goo
Coelakanth Is Android
Baby Bias
Shizuka Is A Machine Doctor
Buggie Technica
That
yeah, crowd was irritating. push push heave heave.

BOOM! i thought it was ACE! but i was always going to, even if they played a load of shit.
Yeah, don't get me wrong. I was there having loads of fun just because Polysics were there, but when you've been to 10+ Polysics shows the less-good ones tend to stand out.
Fortunately there was a guy (maybe he comes on here) dressed in black, that sort of shielded me and my sister away from the worst of it.
There were three guys at the front that worked there that were doing the "crowd control" and then me right in the middle trying to help but probably just getting in the way. I ended up in a bumming position with one of the guys for one of the songs because neither of us could move ![]()
Maybe the sound would have been better further away from the stage...... but who wants to stand back?! ![]()
*edit - I just remembered hugging Kayo. I must have had one pint too many, the poor woman.

Double post for a bump.
I got a friend to translate the write-up from Polysics' blog.
"At today's live show, the stage was low, and the barricade was not set up between the audiences and us,
so they(audiences) came up on the stage, and the monitor moved up to the halfway across the stage,
and it was really hard!!!It was so enthusiastic, fierce, and a real punky live performance.
London was burning as expected(by Crash)!!!!
Hayashi"
I'm not going to ask her to do the Brighton one straight away because that might be a bit rude ![]()

someone has uploaded some quite good video of the whole gig. boooom.
Yeah I watched all those without sound today haha. My Hiro face-grab is in video 7 just after he downs the pint. I worry myself.
*edit - Now I have real reason to worry myself..... Video 11.... the beginning.... that's me at the front shouting "bachikoi". I really need to not drink next time I see them. No wonder Hiro was scared of me afterwards!

Have to agree with you there, this was I think the tenth Polysics gig I've been too, and they seem to get a little worse each time ![]()
