Topic: Washington DC, Feb. 16, 2010!!!
Well, the POLYSICS shows in DC on Feb. 16th is coming very soon, and as you can imagine, I'm completely giddy with anticipation! It's the last stop on the tour, and appears to be the last show before Budokan, and of course it's an extra huge deal since Kayo's leaving the band.
I declared that I would attend this show, come hell or high water, and I'm not backing down despite the lousy weather that's hampered DC for the last couple of weeks.
As you may know, there were reports of up to 36 inches (about 91 cent.) of snow around DC last weekend. And there may be up to 20 more inches tomorrow. That's enough snow to still be a burden come the 16th. If you're coming to this show (and I really hope you are), you should definitely check to see if the trains and mass transit are running normally . They were closed today from what I heard.
If there is yet more snow, I'm certain that it's very unlikely that the show will be canceled, so don't be scared off. The band has been touring for years in a variety of conditions, and the venue they're playing at (The Rock n' Roll Hotel) has already declared that nothing will shut them down. But to be safe, here's the twitter account to check up on the club:
Also, the Rock n' Roll Hotel is not a hotel, so you can't sleep there! I'm going to keep some extra money ready in case I have to spend the night in DC though.
On a extra positive note, the show is going to ROCK! The club lists a capacity of only 400 people, and I'd love it if that crowd was nothing but total POLYSICS fans.
And I'll be there for sure. I have a shaved head, a goatee and wear glasses. Keep saying hello to anyone who looks like that and sooner or later it'll be me.
