Topic: Goelakanth Game

I've just posted this in the Music bit, but thought it made sense to post it in the Miscellaneous bit. I thought I'd make a game for the site- It does have a high score board, but not at the moment- while my host is having a fit I've had to upload it to a tempory freeby host site that doesn't allow java and stuff.

Hope you like it..

Re: Goelakanth Game

Thanks guys- It gave me a break from all these graphs and charts I've been doing for drug companies this last fortnight. Hopefully My host will be up and running soon so I can get the scoreboard running- I'll have to think of a prize for the winning score.

That was one of the less toe-curling puns I could think of- nearly went with Goalysics, but I think I would have been banned

Re: Goelakanth Game

Oh my God, that's amazing.

How on earth did you get it so that it sounds like they're singing "g-o-e-l-a-k-a-n-t-h"?

Re: Goelakanth Game

Ha ha! That's great!

You're a very talented guy, mbedd.

Re: Goelakanth Game

This is so cool. You should submit this to the Polysics on Polysics Fancorps they would love it.

Re: Goelakanth Game

So far my best score is 469200 - 23 goals + 5 bonus, third round completed in 3'24

It seems to take about 10 seconds per goal so assuming you don't fumble, hit the same area twice or get saved the quickest you can do the third round would seem to be about 2'30.

Maybe I'd be more motivated if Fumi rather than Kayo was the reward for a goal ;o)

EDIT: 24 + 5 in 3'36 = 471769.

No I am not addicted, why do you ask? :oP

Re: Goelakanth Game

Wow, you guys are really kind. Glad you like it. Sorry about no Fumi TheMongKey, I was planning on an option to choose your characters, but work always gets in the way. I do have plans for a few others anyway, maybe a themed game for each member, would really like to do some form of musical based games- a drum simulator or a Kayo recorder/ pom pom rythm game.

Well after that comment, I was wondering if it was worth using it as some form of recruiting game for the site- brand it up more prominantly to Coelkath.com - put click through links on it to the board, send to a friend etc, and spread it around in relevant places. Use it however you want- keep it between us, or use it to advertise- just my little thank you for your site and members keeping me sane over the last few weeks.

Honestly, it's just fine (and by fine, I mean awesome). However...

That would TOTALLY ROCK!

That would be great, but knowing how strict about copyright the Polysics management have been - I dunno. I really don't want to get hassle like that MySpace fan profile got.

And a hearty thank you for your thank you!

I'm going to break my mouse playing this thing, I know it...

Simple answer really. I invited the ladies around for tea at the end of the Manchester show. I quickly ordered an owl to impress Kayo from a dodgy underground pet dealer in Blackpool (he does snakes too). Odd thing is, maybe it was a bad translation from her recent interview, but what she meant was that she likes eating owls- had no idea how to cook one, so had to get my mum 'round- and she lives in Wolverhampton.

Well as you can imagine time was ticking, and still no show from my mum. Lorry broke down on the M54 causing massive delays apparently. I had run out of card tricks, and Fumi was becoming increasingly bored by the omnibus of Emmerdale - even though she suggested we put it on. Anyway, Kayo finally snapped- shouting damn you- I eat raw, ripping a huge chunk out of the slightly mangy owl - right through it's neck she chomped.

As she was wiping off the owl chunks, Fumi's phone went off (if I'm not mistaken, the ringtone was Chris de Burgh's 'Lady in Red' which surprised me a little) they were needed back on the tour bus- Kayo said "Thank you for crunchy owl neck", Fumi took the telly, and off they went before I could record their voices.
So I just altered the original in Nero wave editor.

No probs- let's keep it local then- that way we can keep the music in

I'm sorry.  I can't respond to this anecdote due to being overwhelmed by sheer awesomeness.

Re: Goelakanth Game

Okeydoke, I have two ideas I would like to try out for a new game, and can't decide which one to do- I still want there to be an element of surprise for you because I don't think what I have planned has been attempted with flash before and I would like it to hit the floor running without any pre-conceptions.
So the first question I would like to ask is.. I have two different games styles in mind, and two tracks that I have picked that would work perfect for each one. Would you like to help me choose what game I make from either the choice of the POLY track, or the choice of game style? Again, I won't give anything away yet, vote 'POLYTRACK' if you would like to know the two tracks are, or 'GAMESTYLE' for the two game style choices? after a few votes I'll put up the options. I will do both at some point, but I'm off to Thailand in a couple of weeks for a very long holiday, so I'll only get chance to do the one.

Re: Goelakanth Game

Polytrack

Re: Goelakanth Game

Polytrack!

Re: Goelakanth Game

I was going to wait a while to see how the voting went, but if everyone else doesn't mind, and because time is of the essence- I'm going to take the status of MongKey to sway the decision. It will also be more interesting not knowing the game type I think.
You have a choice of
'I my me mine' or
'Raw'
